It’s interesting how hard we can be on ourselves and our situations. How long will we continue to see the glass half empty and justify it with, “It is what it is” or “I’m just keeping it real”? This is so life limiting. This is not the talk of a Success. We have been blessed more than we know. We’re blessed to be a success. Our success hinges on us knowing this and more [knowing is a portion of the journey].
Now please understand – I am not one of those people who have never had trouble, or is currently living in my dream world. I am, however, a success seeker. People that are successful:
- own up to their mistakes – not blame it on others
- use failures as launching pads
- maximize on what’s great
- bless others, and
- Thank God
So what am I saying, successful people see/visualize/perceive/receive/understand/take-in things differently. I want to inspire you to do the same. See yourself as a success. This doesn’t mean that you’ll never make a mistake or that life won’t throw some curve balls your way. It means, that all of that and more will happen (or is happening) and you should still give God Thanks in the midst of it all. Why? You’re here! As long as you’re here, there’s hope and opportunity and promise. How else can I inspire you?
You see, there’s a professional surfer with one arm, an award winning artist who’s paralyzed, Grammy award winning artists/musicians who are blind and You. Yes, you, with all you’ve had to combat and are feeling like you can’t overcome, are a success. Just activate the “I am Blessed” meter within and live.
There’s a scripture in the bible that says: In everything, give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us. This does not say to give thanks for everything, but to give thanks In it. Things could always be worse; and for someone else, it probably is.
Despite everything that is happening or has happened to you and around you, God is able to carry you to your wealthy place. He made you and knows you can make it. Why did you have to be hit with this or troubled with that? I don’t know; but I do know that it didn’t and can’t kill you, if you don’t let it. There’s so much more I can say but I don’t want to give too much in one sitting. I’ve decided to make this a series instead of a one time post; so please come back and join me again.
In closing: Your success is connected to you. Who are you? That’s for you to answer. What are you? You’re blessed.
